DM-LAN X11 Update

DM-LAN X11 w00t not long till 3rd of July 09 now.

The pre-register system officially closes on the 2nd of July at midnight so be quick, remember it will cost you $20 if you are listed under the pre-register system and $25 if you are not pre-registered.
We will not be holding seats for people, first come first serve basis. Same as our previous events once you get to citywide pay at the front desk, sign the entry form, walk into the venue and plug-in and let an amazing gaming experience overwhelm you.

This events tournament schedule has been finalized (Update: Counter-Strike Source moved to 9:30/10pm (click me)) we cannot cater for everyone and we do apologize. Please make sure your games are ready, the latest updates for comp games will be provided on our intranet we do not supply games. Also you will be required to use a legitimate unbanned Steam account to partake in comps or free-play servers. All Valve games will be running VAC; this means game launchers such will not work.

This LAN we will be providing prizes to Tier 1 & Tier 2 only, these prizes have yet to be confirmed, and unfortunately due to Global Financial Crisis (GFC) we have been unable to obtain sponsorship for all of our previous sponsors. SteelSeries will be sponsoring this event and of course we will have our lucky door HDD.

We will be running public servers for Counter-Strike Source, Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4 these will be standard servers for people to play on during the event, depending on loads we will run up more servers.

Cheers,
Dark-Media LAN Team

Dark-Media LAN X11

Dark-Media LAN X11 is now open for pre-registration, the date is set for 3rd July 2009.

The official competitive tournament are Counter-Strike Source, Call of Duty 4, DOTA, UT-GOTY, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch and Quiz Night these have been chosen by a large percentage of Lanners and Admins, as always were looking for feedback and suggestions that will suit everyone.

Remember that Dark-Media LAN will be running all the latest game versions, also if you wish to partake in tournaments you must have purchased the game, we do not provide temporary games to people. Steam accounts are needed to play any Steam-based game these account must be "in good standing" to connect to any free-play or tournament server.

DM-LAN official starting time is 6:00pm on Friday but the doors will be open from 5:30pm no earlier and the event will closes at 10am Saturday morning, pricing is the same as last event if you pre-register, then you will be paying $20, otherwise its $25 to rock up at the door on the night.

Dark-Media LAN’s are now the biggest that Tasmania has to offer, and it’s with your help and attendance that we can keep our reputation for being the best going. Whether you’re a newcomer or a regular, we promise you that DM-LAN is a great night out.

See you there,
Dark-Media LAN Team
