Me and my friends regularly go to the magistrates court just for a laugh. It's a fucking hoot, seriously.

When you do go, always look for a hearing schedule the night before, they post it after noon. Always try to get yourself to any case involving the Devines, the Braslins, the Brandons or the Smiths (long lost bogan relatives maybe). They're always guarenteed to be good.

Also, you can go into any court case, it's your right as a citizen. Unless it's a closed court, which probably means it involves children, but thats rare. You can walk in and out of Magistrate hearings without too much fuss, but the supreme court is a little more formal.

And yeah, with the wireless, I know they want to make it secure and everything, but all the protocals and other crap they use to authenticate are non-standard, which means you have to adjust a billion settings. And MyLo is the worst thing ever. Who's bright idea was to code it in Java? All it does is put the regular university website (full of blind links and outdated pages) into a crappy and laggy java frame.

Haha yes I'm aware of the Braslins!

Thanks for the advise, I'll keep that all in mind :). I was thinking of heading over to the Magistrates first.

Yeah the wireless was better once upon a time, however, it's changed now and not even I can get it to work. I was always hoping they would release a package that would tweak all the settings for users.

Mylo is based on a product called webct, if I remember rightly tafe used it as well once. It really is the suck, especially on slow connections.

We're using WebCT at my school for a photography course and you're right, it SUCKS.

Part of the course was we had to make a webpage about ourselves inside WebCT.
It was complete shit, I couldn't embed things, create tables, use javascript or styles etc. etc.

So, I ended up just making a blank page that had a link to to my own web site. :P

I got harshly penalized on a Psychology essay for using the word "proponents" which is apparently "too formal", then blasted for using the phrase "as *some guy* puts it 'direct quote here'", which was "too informal". Obviously I didn't really write "some guy".

And I committed the horrible crime of indenting my paragraphs AND putting a space between paragraphs, as opposed to just one or the other. *gasp!*

fuck the Psych department. Oh well, high credit is better than fail :(

How's everybody going? Keeping up with the workload? Results better or worse than you expected?

P.S., if anybody on DM is thinking of enrolling in Biology of Animals, bring a pillow to your lectures.

Not going bad.

Need to cram a fair bit of uni work over the next two weeks (due to me spending a lot of time just helping other students prepare for their exams!).

I must say out of all the schools I've been in so far Law has been the best. I'll be transferring half of my combined over depending on the outcome of my units this year.
