Hi All, Just thought I'd post this, as I just got an internal email saying that the company i work for are looking for another systems engineer.

Bonus skills would be knowing Cisco and or Citrix. But if you don't have this skill, I'd still be happy to put you forward as we are often looking for new engineers. The whole Sydney infrastructure has just been moved to Hobart, and this requires new staff.
The job is located in Hobart, and the company is Australia Wide. PK Business Advantage.

If anyone would be interested, if they could post on here, or PM me, that would be good. I'll forward on any CV's which are emailed to me.

Thanks :)

Yep still awaiting a reply back, soon as i do, i'll post it on here. I think the whole idea of sending a message around email is if you know friends or family who'd like to work with them, but personally, i don't, So id rather offer it to you guys/girls before they advertise.

Ok. still awaiting info as everyone is rushing around today. but generally we need someone for a Field Engineer.

There is also a couple other jobs going for this thing called the NOC. its internal Support for all the Big companies in Australia. Remote support, requiring engineers with more of an all rounder experience. If anyone wants me to just stick there CV in, please let me know. If they like what they see, they'll fill in the rest of the info. Good job, Good people to work with, and as its Australia Wide, your likely to do lots of interesting jobs with the possibility of being able to work in other cities.

Any of these jobs you mention require me to have my own car? Cos I am reliant on public transport for the immediate forseeable future :P

If not I will send you my resume to put in for sure.

No, you never (hopefully) never need to use your own car. When you are on site, you use a PKBA Car. Its a Combo Van, but there quite zippy as long as you put premium fuel in them :)

Petrol and car costs are all covered with a Fuel Card. so noo need to worry about using your own money to pay for fuel, oil, or car parts.

We have a LOT of people who used to work for PCM, and from TOPS work for PKBA, The company is getting stronger as well, and over the next few month will be hiring quite a few people i'd expect. The company is going to be floated soon, and will then be expanded again. Planning on buying something like 7 to 12 other companies to expand their fleet. Its a good time to join i think :)

Would you like to apply for both positions? Or do you know Citrix? and or Cisco?

Again ,i'll update when someone decides to update me :)

Usualy the reason things are advertised internaly is they want them left internaly. So your job will be availble soon then nifen :P

thanks also for the insider information i can now use that to crush PKBA into dust :)

Also when a army expands but then pulls back to bass is because it cant afford to expand any further? so how could they buy out 11 -12 companies to expand when they just retreated?

no retreat. don't get me wrong. the guy that owns the company had a company before hand, and sold it for 450 million. i don't think thats exactly retreating. PKBA was born from that. Its a good company. And it's just an offer.

I doubt you'd even have a chance of crushing PKBA. there too huge, its like crushing Microsoft, or Telstra. Its very unlikely.

Personally i didn't have to offer this or tell anyone, but i want good employee's to work with, and as a Tech my self who was abandoned by my last company i feel like helping others out of that horrible situation.

PKBA is the best company i've worked for, Great staff, none of that bullshit you get from other companies. Very easy going, and great at what they do, support from all sides.

I think in this day and age, expanding is always a good sign. Sharing and caring is the best way :)

for a Moderator, you really do a bad job. Your way off topic, i offer something, you bag the shit out of it. Perhaps you need to keep your thoughts to yourself.

Please Lock this, as if anyone wants more info, they can just email me.

Yes well that did happen because I asked for it.

Anyway back on topic.

Does this workplace have a website that advertises this job or a statement of duties for the role?

Also by "engineer" is it a real engineer job or just a pretend one. E.g do you need a engineering qualification or is it simply one of those jobs that like to use stupid words in the role.
