Haha, yeah I was just reading an article on the state of F@H on AMD/ATI GPUs. The client still uses the Brook+ standard for AMD/ATI which is basically a standard that is no longer supported. Stanford really needs to release an Open CL client. Then they could use the same client for all GPUs and OSs.

Oh, yeah, you should still run the GPU client for your 4890 though, it's still good for about 3000 points per day. A lot more than your i7 produces.

Yep do it Firewater!

Put the Service client in the Polytechnic image. Get all those machines folding for team 114151, With that much power breaking the top 1000 teams might actually be possible.

if they found that on all the machines he would then have to go uninstall it, as much fun as it would be.

and yes killer the polytechnic would care about a powerbill, it doesnt have unlimited money.

Someone at work told me F@H used to be on the image at Newtown High and maybe a couple of other schools. Can't remember why they took it off. We were thinking that it would be cool if F@H was included in all images and have a desktop shortcut and the kids, if they wanted, could launch it.

Pfffft, just put the service client on the image. That way it's invisible to the students, they never see it and it never interferes with what they are doing on the computer.

nah... could use SCCM or GPO to do mass install or removal

and with the power-bill SCCM brings in awesome improved power-management so it wouldn't really matter.

Zif no one Folds@Home for Dark-Media. It's still just me and AcidSentance, though we are still producing enough points to keep the team moving forward in the ranks, currently ranked the 2377th team.

Personally I am just about to break a million points for the DM team. Someone should come and challenge my position.
